Hump Day Hype

Sooo it's that time again. As I reflect on the date I went on last night I can't help but give it a soundtrack...

As I strolled into my date late once again:
I know I know I know (What you know Meek?)
You ain’t that Guy you say you is (Well how you know though?)

After the date ended I was singing a different tune:
Never in my wildest dreams, no, no, no
Did I think someone could care about me, oh

It's safe to say I'm an unstable female that jumps to conclusions and thinks with the worst case scenarios in mind. LOL

LSO and Art: A Cultural Experience

If you are in the Detroit Area, or will be June 20-September 7,2014. Then you definitely want to check out  Bruce Weber's exhibition at the Detroit Institute of Arts. Bruce Weber is a celebrated fashion photographer and filmmaker who captures the rich culture of Detroit through striking images. The Detroit Institute of Arts has teamed up with Conde Nast to present the exhibition that will display 80 photographs of Weber's work.

Hump Day Hype

It's Wednesday and despite waking up late for work I'm in an extremely great mood so here's want I'm currently dancing to in my Cubilar

It took me forever to find this song because I'm horrible with lyrics, but this song takes me back to 2008 my most limber twerking days

Who knew Future could be so romantic. Lawd't CiCi got a real man on her hands. My homegirl was right we didn't us a basketball player LOL. Side Note- Hate Kanye's verse

Sooo I am addicted to heartbreak songs. I listen to sappy sad songs all day everyday even when they have absolutely nothing to do with my current love life. This song is just so sad babygirl came home to her man leaving. Naw bro that wouldn't happen to me...again LOL

Let me know what you're listening so I can add it to my "Tune out the Man" soundtrack

PRista Pow- The Hustle

The PR hustle is never ending. I can easily be complacent with where I'm at in life right now but this PRista wants the more. So last night I took my talents to the premiere of Marlon Wayans Funniest Wins.

What does one wear to a Hip Hop Concert?!

Hey LSO people! So last weekend I had the pleasure of going to a huge Hip Hop Concert in my area. I bought the tickets early April, and I had been counting the days because I'm a huge hip hop fan. Ask Tomeka I know the words to every song known to man. The concert I attended "The Big Show at the Joe" featured the likes of Big Sean, Kendrick Lamar (my husband lol), JCole, August Alsina, Trey Songz (my other bae lol), Ty Dolla Sign, and a few local acts. So now you understand my excitement?! With all the huge acts that were to perform I knew I would be on my feet for a long time, so I wanted to be cute, but comfortable. I made the mistake of wearing heels to a Drake concert last year, and my feet were on fire and I didn't want to make that mistake again. Below, I pulled together a simple but cute look that will help give ideas on what to wear to a Hip Hop concert.

Revamp Your Office

Revamp Your Office

Another week another dollar...

The weekend is over, and yet another week is upon us. But don't worry LSO has your back!! There's an easy and quick way to make your work space feel like home. As young twenty-somethings most of us have started breaking into corporate America, and have been given a little space to call an office. And whether you have an actual office, a cubicle, or you  work from home. I have found a few key pieces that will give your office a warm positive atmosphere, because at the end of the day we spend eight plus hours at work. We might as well be comfortable there. So lets Revamp our space shall we?!?

Daddy's Girl

My daddy was the first male I have ever stalked. I remember like it was yesterday when he told me that I couldn't come with him on a Saturday outing with him and my uncles. While he took a shower I put on my shoes and snuck in the trunk of his Jimmy Truck. I laid in that trunk in crouching tiger hidden dragoon position for TWO hours before he finally came out. Just as we flew down the freeway I screamed surprise. We very well could of died that day and I was returned the surprise as he dropped my lil self back off. That day made two things official that I was a daddy's girl to my core and that it's safe to say I'm insanely passionate.

Over the years I've realized that my mother has taught me what it takes to be a woman and my dear ole dad has instilled in me my self worth. A father can teach you many things so here's my papi taught me.
