Daddy's Girl

My daddy was the first male I have ever stalked. I remember like it was yesterday when he told me that I couldn't come with him on a Saturday outing with him and my uncles. While he took a shower I put on my shoes and snuck in the trunk of his Jimmy Truck. I laid in that trunk in crouching tiger hidden dragoon position for TWO hours before he finally came out. Just as we flew down the freeway I screamed surprise. We very well could of died that day and I was returned the surprise as he dropped my lil self back off. That day made two things official that I was a daddy's girl to my core and that it's safe to say I'm insanely passionate.

Over the years I've realized that my mother has taught me what it takes to be a woman and my dear ole dad has instilled in me my self worth. A father can teach you many things so here's my papi taught me.

"Jen Jen daddy didn't born no dummy"
He calls me to let me know how proud of me he is and how grateful he is to have me as a daughter. He tells me how beautiful I am and how he doesn't born ugly kids. My dad has always made me feel like my siblings and I were his world.Because of my daddy I feel like I can conquer the world and I owe him so much of my success.

Sacrifice:
My daddy taught me to make a way out of noway. He moved to America in his twenties and worked at Church's Chicken while going to school to send for my mom. He drove a 94 Jimmy to work everyday while I whipped a 2006 Saturn just to hang with my friends. If my daddy was down to his last dollar and I asked for it he would make a way to give me two.

"Money Don't grow on Trees"
I remember in 2007 when I wanted to call off work at Denny's for a Chris Brown concert boy did he yell at me and send me right on my way. He taught me that priorities are always meant to be put first no matter what comes up and no matter how hard you have to work. While he will give me his last dollar he has always made it known that I need to work hard to make my own ends meet to never depend on a man.

I am my father. No really I am named after him. I remember all the times he told my sisters and I that we will go on to get married and leave his name behind, but I can never leave my daddy behind because I do everything for him. I am sure he didn't notice but on the site I refer to my self as Kolleh Thomas, his name backwards. One day I will become a household name and just know that I did it all for my daddy. So daddy aka daddy money bands I love you with my whole heart and then some. I strive to make you proud and I carry you with me wherever I go!

Xoxo Kolleh Thomas
