What does one wear to a Hip Hop Concert?!
Hey LSO people! So last weekend I had the pleasure of going to a huge Hip Hop Concert in my area. I bought the tickets early April, and I had been counting the days because I'm a huge hip hop fan. Ask Tomeka I know the words to every song known to man. The concert I attended "The Big Show at the Joe" featured the likes of Big Sean, Kendrick Lamar (my husband lol), JCole, August Alsina, Trey Songz (my other bae lol), Ty Dolla Sign, and a few local acts. So now you understand my excitement?! With all the huge acts that were to perform I knew I would be on my feet for a long time, so I wanted to be cute, but comfortable. I made the mistake of wearing heels to a Drake concert last year, and my feet were on fire and I didn't want to make that mistake again. Below, I pulled together a simple but cute look that will help give ideas on what to wear to a Hip Hop concert.
Everything I purchased for this look aside from lipstick and my shorts where all purchased from Urban Outfitters. I will wear these shorts for as long as I can lol I really love my denim shorts that I thifted for only 4 bucks from the Salvation Army. I cut and distressed the shorts myself, and you'll probably see me wearing them a lot this summer :). So just grab an old pair of your favorite vintage shorts to achieve this look no need to hit the mall.
My $34 criss cross sandals are made from Vegan leather and are really comfortable. The cognac color is a good neutral that can be paired with other summer outfits. Minimal gold layered necklaces are really on trend this summer, so while at UO I picked up this $18 Hammered High Low necklace with gold plating. Last, but not least I jetted over to http://www.maccosmetics.com to buy "Flat Out Fabulous" and I loved it. I heard good things about this $16 matte lipstick and it didn't disappoint. I only had to reapply once that night!
