Are you too busy to prepare breakfast or lunch but want to avoid the calories that come with drive thru dining? Here is a quick and healthy alternative to start your day, my version of the green machine.
All you need is a juicer, I prefer the Ninja, it does a great job with chopping and blending, a cup of your favorite fruits, I am using berries for the antioxidants, pineapple which is good for digestion and lemon which aides in weight loss-bonus!
Add to that what can equal to your daily intake of veggies, a handful of power greens (spinach, chard and kale) and for those who want to take it to the next level (go big or home home) a scoop of organic wheatgrass powder. Blend with your choice of juice (orange or apple), milk (soy or almond are great) or distilled water

Tips: 1. freezing your fruit keeps you from watering your smoothie down with ice cubes.
2. Using organic products has tons of health benefits, but if you are balling on a budget, using non-organic is better than the drive thru!
